The Circle of Guitars is a beautiful and unique concept. It is an open invitation to guitar players of all genres and to ardent lovers of this instrument to come together for a concert event. This invitation especially extends to those who have already worked innovatively and creatively in the development of guitar music. This could be a significant contribution at any level, in any genre, in any playing style or technique of guitar.

The Circle of Guitars event comprises two sections. In the first section, all participating guitarists from diverse genres of music from both East and West present their short individual acts showcasing their talent. In the second section, all the guitarists come together in a circle, either to play in a ‘creative’ jam session or to play some

pieces composed especially for the occasion. This is where finally all genres, styles and cultural perspectives are merged into a single point – the point of pure creativity through the medium of their instrument in all its incarnations. Interestingly, this central musical merging point can also be called the point of silence – or meditation – which in turn is the origin of all creativity.
